several miles east of village off CR 19 - a bicycle friendly CG,this campground has been around since the Atlantic Coast Route was the East Coast Bicycle Trail
note: be sure to identify yourself as a long distance cyclist and need a tent site
the ACA is in the process of revising the route through Dutchess county the route will no longer go to Rhinebeck and near this CG- see ROUTES for more K.E.N. 03-23-2010

Wilcox Memorial Park
SR 199 Stanfordville (east side of TSP - west of Pine Plains)

this is a Duutchess county (gov.) park - the campsites are open from May to October and the fee is $14-$22 (there are also trailer/motorized RV sites with full hook-up) - the park is open all year and has some hiking trails and a lake with a beach that is open Memorial day to Labor Day


Platekill KOA

note: listed in my phone book as "Newburgh - NYC North KOA" - this CG is off SR 32 about 1 mi. north of the hamlet/village of Platekill (about 5 mi. south of New Paltz and the ACR) - the village (los vilas) of Platekill has a grocery store and the KOA CG has a camp store with some limited supplies - there are also several small restaurants - cantinas in the area
